I reported my cellphone with santam as damaged and i lodged a claim on the 15/05/2013 - claim number163586851.I got through the claims department to report the phone as damaged and i was told to take the phone to any service provider to get an assessment report and quotation for repairs. I have been to several service providers and all of them advised that they wont be able to supply the requested documents because i am not insuring with them. Some have even told me that i have to pay to get the required documentation and have to leave my phone with them so that they can it. I cant leave my phone with the service provider because i wont have means of communication as the phone uses a micro sim and they wont supply a loan phone whilst mine is taken for assessment.
Please advise what should i do.
