Alleged arrear bond repayment

Applied for a second mortgage - was denied - say im in arrears. when asked what month/when/date no one can tell me. all my statements say NIL arrear status, i asked for statement from month one - no arrears! quarterly home loan statement say NIL arrears. when i went to the branch they said that i'm TECHNICALLY IN ARREARS. no one can tell me when i skipped a payment. i was given a ref nr and told to phone customer care which didnt help at all.
SMS DATED 04/01/2013 READS: MR ROOS, VERBAND 8000959772101 TEGNIES AGTERSTALLIG R4341.50 VIR MEER BESONDERHEDE KONTAK KLIENTEDIENS 0860555111 MET VERWYSING 61010190.
the 'arrear' amount is lot less now seeing that i am paying R450.00 exstra every month on my loan.
1 - please tell me how is it possible that i'm in arrears?
2 - all my statements reflect R0.00 arrear status.
3 - what does TEGNIES AGTERSTALLIG means?
4 - who is responsible for this?
5 - who will pay interest where applicable - surely not me!!
6 - i need the exstra payment to go off against my bond - not against the arrears.
PLEASE assist me as there is no joy from the branch.
