POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

TWO AND A HALF YEARS BACK I UNFORTUNATELY FOUND MYSELF UNEMPLOYED. i WENT INTO A NEDBANK BRANCH STRAIGHT AWAY TO DISCUSS MY SITUATION WITH THE BRANCH MANAGER (BRAKPAN) WHO INFORMED ME THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS AHEAD WITH PAYMENTS SO I NEED NOT WORRY ABOUT MAKING A PAYMENT ON MY BOND FOR THE NEXT 6mths. AFTER THIS PERIOD I ONCE AGAIN MADE MY NORMAL MONTHLY PAYMENT AND TO MY SURPRISE A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER I WAS INFORMED THAT I WAS IN ARREARS OF ABOUT R7000 (I AM PAYING INTEREST ON THIS AMOUNT UNTIL I GET UP TO DATE WITH MY PAYMENTS). TO DATE NEDBANK HAVE REFUSED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ERROR, THEIR ONLY DEFENCE GIVEN WAS THAT THE BRANCH MANAGER DID NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO GIVE ME THIS ADVICE AND THAT I AM STILL THE GUILTY PARTY HERE. NOW MY PROBLEM ARISES... I ALSO HAVE A PERSONAL LOAN WHICH DUE TO THE SAME REASONS IS ALSO IN ARREARS SO TODAY I CONTACTED NEDBANK TO SUGGEST I TAKE A SECOND BOND ON MY PROPERTY SO AS TO PAY OFF THE LOAN AS MY FINANCIAL POSITION IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE DRAMATICALLY IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS TO SORT OUT MY PERSONAL LOAN AND WAS TOLD BY THE MANAGERESS THAT NEDBANK WOULD NOT REMOTELY CONSIDER THIS REQUEST AS MY BOND WAS IN ARREARS. JUST CAN'T WIN!
