Claim declined due to "waiting period"

I had Retrenchment protector with Liberty and when I made a claim due to the fact that I was retrenched it was declined on the basis that the waiting period of the policy is six (6) months but on the document that I signed and the original document that I received from them it clearly state that the waiting period is one (1) month. The advisor is claiming that he told me the terms and conditions of which I do not remember because even the documents that I am having does not even mention those terms. I have send a complaint to their complaints department and I am waiting for the response from them. And still after declining my claim they are still deducting money in my accoucount
