No notification given if change of final payment

In March this year the final payment for my Vehicl Finance was scheduled to be paid as per the debit order agreement with Absa made when the application was made. I recieved a letter fro mthe bank giving me notification that i should collect the official documentation for the car and assumed that everything has been concluded. On the 13 May 2013 i received a call stating that i should have in fact payed the final payment to the bank as they would not be doing it as per the normal debit order process. I was never notified tha tthis was the case and the matter had already been handed over to the Legal Department. The account details given were incorrect to start with a letter of appology has still not been received after the consyltant admitted that it was the banks error for not given notification. i have called the legal department but received no responce. I find the service rended and quality of information pathetic especially since no one can help me resolve this matter.
