I went to Nedbank Centurion 2 weeks ago to transfer money from my Access bond to my FNB cheque account, they did this for me with no problems. A week later I needed more money for the renovations that I was doing, so I went there again. They told me that I had to wait for my instalment to go off, and then I'd have access to the money. When I went there today, they told me that they cannot transfer any amount less than R100-000 from my access bond to another bank's account. I phone Nedbank Homeloans who assured me that they can, so I went back into the branch and again they refused me to do it. They told me that only if I open a Nedbank account, can I have access to that money. They made me sit down and wait for a banker, after 30 minutes, no one spoke to me, asked me if I'd been helped, or even looked in my direction, even though my name was supposed to be next on this list, the list that no one even looked at in that 30 minutes. 1.5 hours spent in the bank and NOTHING achieved... No wonder I don't want to open a Nedbank bank account. They're service is SHOCKING and RIDICULOUS!!! Guess it's time to move my home loan over to FNB as well...
