Lack of financial advise

For the first time Nedbank has let me down.

I set forth an application for a first time home loan application on a pre-defined residential property, and not a pre-approved bond. There was one abnormality with this application, in that the property purchase was by means of public tender and not an offer to purchase.

Due to this simple out of the norm request Nedbank did not know what to do or try think outside the box to service their customer. I would understand if they could not process an application if documentation was missing but I produced everything which was required to get a bond. Does Nedbank not have any staff who are trained to think when something doesn't follow a normal procedure? Or do they just push it all aside and pretend its not happening? There are always exceptions to the rules which requires fast thinking and initiative to solve problems.

To add salt to the wounds I requested some financial advise on how to proceed or give some guidelines on what bond approval I could get if this was a "normal application", they were left speechless.

The resolution to the matter and reason for closing the application was due to me the forms fulled out incorrectly!
