On Monday, 29 April 2013 I got a telephone call from a lady at Absa. She informed me that I qualified for a top up on my current loan. We did the application and while I was talking to her I sent through the requested documentation. I was informed that the application would take 2-3 working days. Today, 6 May 2013 I had still not received any feedback. I decided to give Absa a call to follow up on the application. The person whom helped me spoke to Yokeen Jacobs and then he asked me from which email account did I send the documentation. Basically that told me that nothing has been done with my application! Why do I need to follow up on my application? Why is my application just hanging in the system? Why is Absa wasting my time by phoning me and doing loan applications if they do not intend finish the application? Why is it taking longer than the prescribed time to finish the application? Poor service Absa!
