Greyhound bus with my minor child aboard, stopped for 2 hours in Newcastle, according to the staff on the bus this was due to the bus being not viable due to too few tickets being sold, and they were awaiting more passengers.
This put their arrival time at the destination out by 2 hours.
My issues are as follows.
1) When contacted the head office spokesperson to me, and stated the delay was due to road works, this is a stupid and easily verifiable.
2) Absolutely no communication was given on the bus nor elsewhere for the delay, or that there would be a delay, and only when my son enquired was he told they were waiting for the bus to fill up. The official line is obviously at odds with the drivers version of events.
This, given the precarious state of public transport is simply unacceptable!
