I reach out to Africa Stay for a quotation for a trip to Mauritius.
After I have received a quote I got back to them and asked to book the package.
They got back to me few days later with the price that gone up by about R20, 000 per package!
When I have asked them why such a difference, they came up with the story that the flights fare went up.
After all I have agreed and paid, but asked to change the hotel. After 1 week they still could not change the hotel booking, coming up with excuses, that the hotel that was quoted is being paid for already and all other hotels are not available. So after this I have asked to give me a separate price for the flights, as I was prepared now to book the hotel I wanted via Booking.com. When I have received pricing break down, I have picked up that they have overcharged me on the child fare, and I am confident the consultant made more mistakes with my costing, as the price went up so much! After few phone calls the consultant has admitted the mistake and said that I will be refunded the difference on the flight fare. After we returned from the holiday, I was chasing the agent for weeks to find out when I will be refunded, as she would not answer the e-mails and I had to call all the time. I have been told first it will be done ASAP and the file is with the accountant. After another week I called again and has been told another story, that they are waiting a refund from Air Mauritius and hence cannot refund me until they have the fund from Air Mauritius. Well, another few weeks has passed and not feed back or refund!
Stay away for this agency! They are overcharging, lying, incompetent and the service is terrible!
