I have a previous complaint (09:17 Tue 6 Aug) where MTN waited until I gave feedback that nothing had been done before replying, as that prevented me from giving feedback on their response. The amount I was expected to pay in penalties for early cancellation is double my monthly bill, and I only had 2 weeks left on my contract! So surely it should be less?! Their response gave me nothing except some shallow sorry. If they are charging more than double a month's bill for that contract, then how much are they overcharging me for the other one! I have been a loyal MTN customer for over 8 years, and have had so many issues over those years and yet I stayed with MTN. Now when I want to leave, they overcharge me in penalties! Today the new bill run is done, so I'll have to pay another month's bill of their service, and then still get huge penalty amounts because I am cancelling my contract. MTN should also respond before I have to give feedback that they do nothing, so that my feedback can rather be about what they have done to solve the problem. I've reviewed a few MTN complaints and seen a trend. Stop my money and cancel my contracts!
