We booked accommodation through Up and Go Travel for the past December to visit Mozambique. I have used this agent for various other trips with no problems and trusted that this trip would also run smooth. Accommodation was booked at Phambuka Beach Camp in Mozambique. On arrival we looked around for an hour to find the manager of the Camp, Kevin, With no luck and was escorted to our chalet by one of the staff. The chalet was in such a poor state that I would not even let my animals sleep in this place. Leaking roof, windows rusted so bad you cant open them, ceiling in the bathroom collapsed, wall cracks so bad you can see through them and not to talk about the smell of the fridge. I confronted Kevin and said it is not what was advertised on the internet... he said unfortunately he is full and only has a camping available under a tree, not even on a market stand but he will refund us for the inconvenience. We had to find other accommodation and had to fork out another few thousand rand. On arrival in SA Up and Go and Kevin from Phambuka refuses to sort out this matter. Kevin has no manners over the phone. Both these companies are untrustworthy and false advertises on the intern
