The travel agent is not to blame.
I was about to book my Mauritius trip when I "won" accommodation in Mauritius after attending a marketing presentation for the HOLIDAY CLUB Group. REALTIME MARKETING managed the presentation. I received a voucher that read "complimentary accommodation, you pay only for your meals!
Shockingly the quotes I received were basic promotional offers with no "prize" or "free" accommodation in sight, and the prices were the same that was on offer from any other well-known travel agency. Sub-standard resorts, but at the same price. (Trip Advisor)
This debacle resulted in a 3 week delay of my holiday plans.
The resort I earmarked for our family holiday, Veranda Pointe Aux Biches at R32900 (All Inclusive), is now fully booked.
I am left with an option that is R6000 more expensive because I was foolish enough to get involved in this nonsense and wait for a "free accommodation voucher".
REALTIME MARKETING just passed the buck to the travel agent - I am sorry, but I don't think the travel agent is to blame for REALTIME MARKETING trying to be sneaky and offer clients non-existing prizes.
