We booked Forest Walk via [URL Removed] specifically requested pet friendly accommodation. We confirmed that we would be bringing 3 medium sized dogs which was acknowledged by one CJ and Christine via e-mail. Upon arrival, we noticed that there was a full-length electric fence around the property. No mention or warning of this was made. Had we known about these potential hazards, we would not have booked the accommodation. Within 20 minutes of our arrival two of our dogs were shocked by the fence and barbed wire lacerated an artery of one of our dogs. Luckily we got hold of the Port Shepstone animal clinic otherwise she would have bled to death. Afterwards, Christine advised that she does in fact not allow dogs on the property and that she did not want us to stay there but that she was forced to by the owner forced her to allow it since we had already paid in full. Also, the accommodation was downright filthy; thick layers of dust everywhere and a fridge covered in old food stains. The unit looked different from what was advertised - under the name Red Pepper Self Catering. The owner refuses to refund our accommodation and continues to ignore our communications with him.
