How do you keep your customers???

I bought a plane ticket in October for the 25th of December. About 2 weeks later, I managed alternate plans and no longer needed the ticket, so I called the call center who told me that I cannot get a refund, not even partially, even though it was still 2 months prior to the flight. I then tried to give it away, but was not allowed to make name changes according to the call center agent. This I did not understand as I already paid for the ticket, why could I not give it to someone who could use it? In the end they made it a 6month open ticket. I called again yesterday to change my 1way ticket to a return so that my fianc? and I can attend a wedding, just to be told that they cannot change my 1way ticket to a return. I can only change my current 1way ticket and then need to book an additional 1way ticket to get home again.

I find this absolutely ridiculous as I already paid for this ticket and am now just trying to find a way to use it, along with bringing you more business as my fiance would also need to fly.

Please can a manager revert back to me with regards to this so thas this issue can be resolved.
