Wrongly advised and costing me money

I booked a ticket on my name H van Niekerk for my brother G van Niekerk by accident to fly from CTP to JHB on 31 December 2013 and returing on the 18th of Jan 2014 ref: WOTZFS and paid R1705 for the ticket.

When he went to check in at CT he was informed that the ticket was on my name and not on his. They phoned me from the airport and told me about the problem. I immidiately appologised and aske how to rectify my mistake. I was told that I need to buy a new ticket for him as Kulula does not allow any name changes... now costing me R3117 and then I can request for a refund on the other ticket. I paid the new ticket (ref. BGNUWA).

When I phoned the call centre today for the refund I was told it is a NON-refundable ticket and that there is nothing I that we can do.

I want Kulula to please explain how it come to the conclusion that it is fair not to give me the money back of the first ticket after I was told that I can request for a refund or atleast give me the oppertunity to make use of the ticket anytime in 2014.

Bear in mind that the flight was NOT full and the mistake I made did not cost Kulula anything, infact it cost me almost twice the original ticket price.
