ABSOLUTELY DISTRESSED

In Jan this year a payment was made for a cruise as a gift for my daughters 21st birthday. Payment was made by credit card and accpted with a broad smile. Was told to pick up tickets a few days before the cruise so that Harvey could make the booking and confirmation etc. However, without notice Harvey Gateway closed. on enquiring no booking was made for the cruise. Called head office who havent shown much concern and keep stating Gateway branch was a franchise as if that makes a difference to me. They were a franchise under Harvey world Travel brand. The money we paid may not be as much as the ppl left stranded overseas but we spent months saving for this cruise for my kids. we've been left disillusioned, distressed and out of pocket. Responses in the newspaper from Guy Springer via his attorney lack remorse and sincerity. we trusted the Harvey brand when making this booking. No responses to e-mails just exacerbates the frustration.
