Why Fly Mango?

On 16 Dec I made online booking for flight for my son for 30 Dec. I paid with credit card & was processed on 18 Dec. I received ticket which I mailed to my son in SA. On 30 Dec my son checked in at PE using self-service terminal, proceeded through security & was stopped from boarding as he did not have my credit card.
Not practical to give my card to my son as he could not return it to me. Self-service terminal did not request it.
My questions to Mango management are:
1) What anti- value is served by producing a card when checking in when ticket had been paid & money received & passenger had a positive means of ID?
2) What security value can be attached to mailing a photograph of a card as verification?
This indicates that rules have been devised by someone with little or no business knowledge or experience as only such an individual would implement something with no value to do such damage to customer service & satisfaction. I will never use Mango again unless some action taken to restore customer service expectations. The only thing that can make this situation worse is if I do not receive a response from Mango management. More details availabe.
