I booked two tickets at 8:20am on 2 feb 2013 for travel on 11 and 18 March 2013 (this is in advance) spelling the name of my domestic worker Masimolu instead of Masemula. Now I understand that if you change the person that will be flying that there will be a cost. I am not changing the person I have just made a mistake with the surname as I asked over the phone as I am currently in Cape Town and she is in Johannesburg. It is still the same person that will be flying now they want to charge me R300 (Cheslan in call centre at 9:00am 2 feb 2012) to make this change. They make a rediculus remark to say that the can change only one letter in the surname free of charge as they constitute a mistake can only be one letter.
This can surely not be correct, I picked up the mistake immediately and phoned. to me it is not a name change just a spelling mistake. Your systems need to be able to correct this surely without charge. This is pure extorsion and cant be.
