TERRIBLE SERVICE MADBOOKINGS

Dear Peter

Please note that holiday accomodation to Mozambique was booked through [URL Removed] who required 50% of the total accomodation fees to be paid upfront, which is a standard norm with most places.
Upon finalizing payment due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our holiday, Bernice and Mad bookings were informed of this and as per their refund and cancellation policy which clearly states that should you be within 46-90 days prior to arrival cancellation fees are 50% of total booking cost which then entitles me to 50% of my deposit (ONE MONTH LATER) after numerous e-mails i keep getting the following response

Please be advised that your file/booking is in process for a refund and you will be notified as soon as the refund is processed.

Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

I'm now starting to believe that this is the standard norm for the way in which Madbookings conduct their business. Please explain to me as to what kind of customer service this is as i'm beyond frustrated with the ineffeciencies and nonchalant after sales service of [URL Removed]
