My Family were traveling to Amsterdam so they elected to travel KLM. As they were going to compete in a latin and Ballroom competition we purchased an extra luggage bag to save the inconvenience of being overweight at the airport. On arrive at the check in there was quite a que and I noticed a few people repacking suitcases, and felt quite sorry for them. At the end of the que was a gentleman standing behind a pulpit, he indicated to me that I had to weight the suitcases. Now bear in mind that there were three travellers each with their own suitcase and one extra suitcase we had paid extra for. The first 3 suitcases go through without a hitch all "under weight" (Limit is 23Kg's) 16, 19, 8 and 20, 4 the next suitcase was 25, 6kg's. I was then told it was over weight and was refused entry to the check in until I too had repack the suitcase. What a load of!!! no desecration was applied it makes no sense as I explained the total weight of all 4 bags was way under the limit, we are a family traveling together. In December they will be traveling to Paris for the world championships on LUFTHANSA. Never will I support such incompetent people again.
