My Mom and I got to the checkin with 2 bags where my bag was 15kgs and my Moms was 23kgs. I understand the weight limit is 20kgs but coming up on Mango, they had let us combined out weight because together out combined weight would balance out the total weight for our ticket. So naturally we thought that Kulula would be the same.
Well we were wrong. The guy at the checkin would not let us combined out weight, even thou our combined weight was well under 40kgs. We called the manager and he told us that it is company policy to not allow any bags over 20kgs. So my Mom and I had to repack our bags so that my Moms bag was under 20kgs. With my Mom having high blood pressure, this didn't help.
Well after such a wonderful holiday this really did make our holiday end on not such a high as it would have been. And i know it might not seem like such a big deal, but in future i will really think twice about traveling Kulula again.
