We live in Pretoria and our family live in CT and we do not get to see them often. We are in a stage in our lives where we have to think twice about every penny we spend, so we do not have extra money to through around i.e. we are not your average jet-setter type of people. Flying is a HUGE thing for us! So, we and scrape to buy kulula tickets ON SPECIAL to be able to see our family! You get your tickets and you read that the weight limit per bag = 20kg. So that means between me and my husband, we can carry 40 kg. Since my parents are traveling with us and we have to fit everything into 1 car down in Cape Town, we decide that we are going to pack into one bag. We check in and the weight of the bag = 29.1kg. Since we do not have any other bags between me and my husband, it is simple math that together we were still 10 kg UNDER weight! The person behind the check-in counter, and the 2 people behind the sales counter all repeat the same thing over and over saying that the limit per bag = 20kg. They refuse to check in our bag or let us fly if we don't pay R250. I ask you to please take that R250 & buy a weeks food for a hungry child! R250 to us is A LOT for such a reason!
