Pathetic Service from Flight Centre

I booked my travel with Flight Centre Northgate and paid in full in November 2012. At that time the consultant Jolien Venter did not inform me that I might not get a Visa to travel. Which I feel should be a travel agents duty to do this because they should be aware of this. My trip was booked for 20/12/2012. I then applied for my UK visa on 06/12/2012 and I was informed that my visa to the UK was refused on 06/12/2012 . I informed her of this and asked her to cancell my trip 10 working days before I was to travel. She said that I should wait for the reply from Shengen for my other visa and she postponed my trip by 2 days to 21/12/2012, which I feel she should have not done she should have cancelled the trip at on 06/12/2012. I got the reply from the French embassy on 20/12/2012 a day before I was to travel that my Shengen visa was refused. Now Jolien Venter states that I can only get a refund of 50% because I cancelled 1 day before travel. I have contacted her on numerous occassions stating that is because of her that my trip was cancelled a day before I was due to travel and that Flight Center should give me a 100% refund because it was not my fault. Flight Center is refusing.
