Missed Flights, lack of help, 13.5hrs in OR Tambo

To start I need to admin that we arrived at the gate 3min late (20:33). Purely due to human error, no substance abuse involved.
Not single call as we stroll to the gate where we encounter a very dismissive, unfriendly and inadequate SAA employee who informs us: "you've been offloaded, you missed the flight. We called 5mins." (Calls to King Shaka were made when we were walking, I was listening!)
She says-take a later flight-and walks away. We rush to the check in & SAA ticket counter just to be told there isn't a later flight/to wait. We had 27min. SAA employes dismissed/deferred us until it was "too late, come back in the morning." The next morning people later than we were, were being called while we waited for our flight.
We don't live in JHB. I am told baggage closed at 9pm (I found out the next morning, it closed at 11pm, had to sit in the cold with the clothes on my back for no reason)
Attitudes were shocking & petty. We were 2 clients who had made an unintentional error. Not once did we raise our voice/swear at an employee. No one offered to help us. We were frowned upon and smirked at.
Its unfortunate that I don't have more words. SAA is a sad example of SA business.
