Speaking on behalf of a business colleague: They call it a grace period, which is great but boy are they very specific in their timings. After arriving late to the airport due to serious traffic delays, approx 45 min late... went to the desk to explain the situation only to be told that a full new ticket had to be bought. I phoned today and found out that Kulula have what is called a Grace period which is if you are less than 30 minutes late for your flight but you are still late so you actually won't catch the plane, they allow you to pay a change fee and get booked onto the next flight. If you are anything over 30 minutes, you get diddly squat. Now I say it is great that you do offer such a grace for people who are less than 30 minute late but I really don't understand what and how 30 minutes have been decided that that is the amount of time we are giving someone. What about 45 min late? or 39 min late?
If the plane isn't on the runway, you have missed your flight, so surely all people who arrive at check-in late can be given some type of grace? then the people who actually have completely missed their flight as in never arriving at the airport, you call them a no-show?
