Family Emergency = Forfeited ticket

I purchased a ticket in January and due to unforeseen circumstances had to delay the ticket I paid the re-booking fee of R650 for this coming wend but had to cancel do to a family emergency - i contacted them on Monday as my flight is booked for Friday I don't have dates yet when i can fly again and Kulula is unwilling to help - and i have to pay in another R650 if i come up with a date before tomorrow... surely there should be something to help people especially if its an emergency - I don't have future dates to fly yet and this means I loose Over R2000 - this is shocking.
