AND BY SAA FOR ADDITIONAL LUGGAGE

I am a Senator member of Star Alliance (equivalent to Platinum voyager at SAA) and have had the following incident. I had book a flight in Business and First Class from CPT to LHR via JNB and ZRH. I had my normal luggage plus two additional boxes of which one was an Apple 27" Display. When checking in, I was refused, by the Platinum Desk staff from SAA and the supervisor, to check-in the two additional boxes. After a lengthy debate I was granted to get the one box but no the Display as apparently displays cannot be taken on the plane and need to be sent separately on a Cargo flight. I was told to use either SAA Cargo or SureCo Cargo. Having said that, I was also told to rather use SureCo Cargo as they are more cost-effective and efficient. Based on this information from the staff and supervisor I went with SureCo Cargo. When getting to their office I had to pay R2, 500 for the shipping but was unable to receive a Waybill at this stage and was told I would receive one per email. Everything was apparently sorted out and went onto my flight. The terrible news are, I have never received my Display nor a waybill nor anyhting else nor can I get hold of SureCo nor do SAA want to assist!
