Myciti penalising customers for no reason!!!

I used the myciti bus service for the first time after the long strike. I loaded R20 onto my card. i tapped in and was charged R16.00. Normally i pay R5.30, i found one of the myciti staff to see if anybody could explain to me why this had happened. The lady i spoke to said i must have been penalised for not tapping in or out on a previous occation i said to the lady that i always make sure i do this because i am aware of the penalty. She then directed me to the kiosk to get a mini statement i then came back to her with the mini statement in hand to see if she could explain. The lady could not find any reason on the statement as to why i was penalised she had no clue as to who i could speak to to clear the matter up. She then blurted under her breath that i was not the first person this happened to apparently they had quite a few upset customers on the station that day!!! I am very upset about this because i use this forma of transport aften as i live and work in the blouberg area. i will no longer be using this sevice i feel that i am a victim of!!! i hope that someone could shed some light on this matter.
