Bus Driver not allowed to speak to passengers

The first time ever for me to own a Mycity bus card and to use the bus was today, The routs were confusing and when I landed up in the wrong bus, the driver refused to speak to me even when it was stable, and he closed all the doors and kept driving with me. At the next stop, not knowing what to do I tapped my card out to go and find alternative transport, but this time this driver could speak to me, telling me how wrong I was to tap the card inside the bus instead of tapping at the station, and that I would be penalised R24 out of my card for what I have just done. I told him "thank you very much, you have been most helpful and it won't be the last time you hear from me" and I disembarked. He got out of the bus and followed me yelling and shouting, telling me very loudly in my face that it was not his fault I got into the wrong bus. I asked why he ignored me when I was asking for assistance, he told me very clearly that I was not allowed to speak to the driver, he also told me with pride that if I want to complain he would gladly give me a number to call. I tapped my card again out of that station and walked around looking for a mini bus taxi.
