On 2 April, I received a brand new iPhone 5. Straight from the box, the phone's battery was completely loose and rattling on the inside.
On 4 April, I reported the faulty phone to the call center. Holding on long enough to speak to an agent takes an epic commitment. (This has been better the last few attempts.)
I was told that the phone would have to be collected for assessment first.
The promised turnaround time would be 3 to 7 days - As it turns out the phone was only collected last Wednesday. (17th)
So now it's been 21 days in total and I still don't know what is going on, and I'm still without a phone.
I really expect better communication to understand where the process is currently and why it is taking so much longer than promised. Instead, I have to call to find out what is going on each time.
A faulty phone from a manufacturer is not your fault but how you deal with it certainly is your responsibility!
Surely more than 21 days for this issue can't be a satisfactory resolution time by Cell C standards...
