Paying for 3G that does not work!!??

I have a 3G dongle that does not work I was told they would cancel my contract if a contractor came to see if it really was the dongle or my area... Should my area matter?? Vodacom is a growing company with clients signing up everyday yet I have at least 1 phone conversation everyday that cutes out!!?? Why do we have connection problems at all surely by now there should be enough cell towers? Especially in build up residential areas... I have now sent the dongle off it has taken them a month to repair if it is even repaired why should I pay for this month or for something that I've had endless issues with!!??
