I went to Vodacom to upgrade my 3G card Dongle as at the time the dongle was outdated and not working as it should. I was already on a month to month as my contract for this sim card for data was already complete. when I wanted to cancel my month to month I was told I signed for another 2 year contract. I denied this as the current data I am not really using and only keep the card for emergencies for when my ADSL is down. I was told that I signed and acknowledged this contract. I was told by the customer service agent / sales person that I am signing for free additional data because I am upgrading my dongle. So yes I am not denying that I have signed a document with Vodacom but I was told its free but have to sign to get it. If Vodacom look back at my account they will see I have hardly used my data on what I had already had because I never really needed it. Now I am told if I want to get it off my name I need to pay up. however I feel that I am being robbed and that the staff member was dishonest. Why would I take out another / or extend contract if my current sim is running month to month and I am not really using data.
