Incorrect billing

On 08/03/2013 I received a statement that my account balance to be paid was R484.02. On 31/03/2013 my bank account was debited with an amount of R1033.77. I put a stop payment on this amount and contacted Vodacom to inform them that the amount debited was incorrect. I was advised that the amount on the statement is incorrect. I was disconnected due to non payment. I would like to know if I received a statement informing me that the amount to be debited from my account was R484.02 why would your company debit my account for a different amount. The statement reflecting the amount of R484.02 was sent from Vodacom to me.
