I decided a few weeks ago to cancel my current contract and take out a cell c contract. I called Cell C Direct on 12/04/2013. The presales experience was excellent. During the telephone application I told the consultant that I wanted my prepaid number to be ported. She took down the number etc. My phone was delivered on 22/04/2013. I inserted the simcard into the phone and tried called Cell C Direct to activate the sim and had to hold on forever. Eventually I decided to send an email. The sim was activated on 23/04/2013. Then I realised that my number was not ported. I called Cell C Direct a few times yesterday eventually I got hold of someone only to be told that there was a "misunderstanding" during the application process and I have to now pay R250 to have my number ported. I told the consultant to please refer to the recorded conversation of that day. He transferred me to another department only to continue holding for another 15 minutes without anyone answering. I sent an email to customer services yesterday. I received a read receipt so someone has read my email, only I have not had a response. This is now the third day and I am unable to use my phone. this is unacceptable!
