I have insurance, it came with my contract and forms part of my premium - but when my phone was a few weeks ago they refused to pay out. On the 23rd of march my phone was, it was a grab and run situation. I reported it to the police and got a case number and all the documents they needed to validate my claim. My simcard was in the phone, i had gotten a call when it was snatched. Terms of insurance stipulates that the contract sim was in the phone at the time of and you need to report in within 30 days and get a case number. I've done all of that. They can infact see that my line was active at the time of the crime. And still they've refused my claim!? It was an expensive phone - this is why you have insurance! They're saying that my sim wasn't last used in the phone?!?!?! Well I'm sure at some point the changed sims because i blocked it. if they looked at the supporting documents they'd be able to line the dates up. This is so typical - once again Cell C cheating me out of money!
