Mtn
Insurance refuses topay out claim

In April 2013 I travelled overseas, and activated sms roaming for my cellphone. The main number that I use is 073 232 7857 (MTN). One of my contracts with MTN is the number 081 046 5367, Samsung Galaxy S3 (My ID No. 8405090521082). Whilst I was travelling overseas, I was not using this number, but had it in my handbag the whole time. I realised it was missing on my return when I landed in King Shaka International Airport on Sunday 21 April 2013. I immediately went to MTN (King Shaka) and asked where the police were so I could have the phone blacklisted. I was told to rather do the whole thing in Kokstad where I reside. I returned to Kokstad on Tuesday, 23 April and went to report this at MTN. Noyi, from MTN Kokstad told me that I should go to the police to get a case number, and must be sure to report the incident within 2 weeks in order for my insurance, U-mobile, to pay out. I went to the police station for the affidavit and case number, and on one incident they were off-line. On another incident they were out of affidavit forms. When I eventually got the case number (still within the 2 weeks that Noyi advised), MTN blacklisted the phone. The insurance, U-Mobile, refused to pay out
