On 22 March 2013 my son's cell phone . when I wanted to report this to the SAPS to claim from my insurance, I was told that I must first blacklist the phone at Cell C and return with a reference number, before a case number can be obtained.
After I tried in vain to report the phone and sim as via the 140 customer care line, I went to Cell C in Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein on 25 March 2013. I completed the necessary form and was told that I will receive the ITC number via sms on my phone. After nothing happened, I again went to the store on 27 March 2013. i was told that the sms has been sent to my son;s number, which ha been blocked. They then confirmed that the sms will be sent to my number. On 2 April 2013, I AGAIN went to the store, because I never received any sms. This time I was told that because of the public holidays, I will receive the sms within 24-48 hours.
48 Hours has now passed and still no sms. If I don't get a SAPS case number I cannot submit a claim to my insurance. My insurance will not let me file a claim if this takes much longer.
i will then be forced to claim a new cell phone from Cell C, since it is due to the incompetence of the peopl
