I want to reduce my monthly Telkom bill, so I called the call center (~15 Feb) and canceled my closer package and reduce my ADSL Speed from 4MB to 1MB.
Responce: All OK Thanks!
Next bill arrives, nothing changed!
I called again (11.02.2013 Ref: 26836723 Ref. for the cancel 74599223A) Than they told me, I can't cancel because there is an outstanding amount on a old account (already with the layer).
I contacted the Layer and clarified everything and Telkom confirmed I am not in debit, I am in credit with R135!
Today I tried it again, the call center doesn't want to cancel it!
I lost it! How can a company tell you (without a 24m or so contract) you are not allowed to cancel???
I don't get is, even if there would be a outstanding on a different account I still must have the right to cancel!
Hopefully this works, next step it Icasa.
