Guarantee, WHAT guarantee??? Money making scheme!!

I have a BlackBerry Bold 9790, which is still under guarantee. I have received a notification from Vodacom that I need to upgrade the software on my phone. I have followed the process, just to find that my phone freezed. I could not reset the phone or do anything to get it operational again. I took it in to the Vodacom shop in Lakeside Mall, Benoni, on 10/04/2013. I am very upset with the staff of the shop, as the one person was very irritated with me, and the person who booked in my phone was very incompetend to do his job. Not only did he write his own story on the report, but could not even spell correctly. He told me that he fixed the jobcard, but failed to hand me the corrected one. Job card 8765314-44156548. I was then contacted by a lady who quoted me R2100 for the repairs of the phone, she could not inform me for what exactly it is for. I then contacted the store manager, Retha, and explained to her the cenario. She found that the quote was incorrect and was suppose to be R1200.She was very unhelpful, and instructed me to rather report it to 0821944. I then sent a mail to the complaints dept. I only instructed for the software to be repaired. What happened to the guarantee?
