To Whom It May Concern:
Firstly, when I applied for an ADSL line I received incredible service. I had internet within only FOUR days. I boasted about Telkom to everyone. Secondly, not even one month later my internet stopped working. The tech was prompt in locating the fault, which turned out to be my router. I was told the tech can't supply me with a new router, that I would have to phone and ask for a new one. This is when I discovered that even though the router isn't a month old, my two options for replacement were: drive to nearest Telkom store (which is 200km away) or pay R600 to have one delivered by a tech. This is ludicrious! The fault is not mine yet I have to pay! The lady at the call center didn't seem to care about my problem. When I asked to speak to a superior she simply put me thru to another assistant. This assistant seemed to have a better attitude, but gave me two incorrect numbers of a dept that would supposedly sort out my problem. I always wondered why people use companies like Mweb and @lantic instead of Telkom. Now I know why! Their after-sales service is TERRIBLE. I hope someone at Telkom reads this because, on my part, its frustrating. Sheldon
