After being without service for two weeks during June, a technician was finally sent to my home to restore my internet service. While I was browsing the internet last week Friday, my router just stopped working. I subsequently called Telkom and a technical support agent logged a fault and an agent from their back office called to confirm that he did not know as to what the real issue was. After several calls to the technical department, a technician was sent to my home again and confirmed that my router was broken and that I need to get a replacement one from Telkom Direct. After much scrutiny from the Telkom Direct in-store agent, I finally received the replacement router, set it up, and my internet connection was restored... While teaching this morning, my line started dropping out every four minutes which disconnected me while I was talking to my students on the phone. After unplugging the splitter and the router, I was able to use my line without any drop outs but without an internet connection. Im not sure what Telkom is doing, but I am paying a lot of money for a service I am not receiving in full capacity which is against the CPA.
