Lerato Mohale called me on Saturday (2 March 2013) verifying if i have opened and account at 8ta Sandton for a contract phone. i said No and Lerato said i must send her an affidavit together with my certified copy of my ID in return she will send a Letter to South African Services that says my ID was used to open a 8ta account. The letter is a requirement from the SAFS in order to protect and curb further abuse of my Identity and subsequently an end to this nightmare. Lerato has never sent the letter to SAFS nor to myself up to date. I once asked her to send me a copy of the application form and the ID used, to open that account and she said it was against 8ta's policies to do that. to me it sounds like that... 8ta's policy is protecting the criminal than the victims.
