I contacted MTN Direct requesting an early upgrade on one of my contracts due to my handset being damaged. According to MTN agents there is no way for an early upgrade to be done because of their policies and my options would be to pay the monthly installments and go without a handset or purchase a handset cash.
While speaking to the consultant i asked to speak to a manager but i was told i could not but when i enquired about cancellation of the contract i was assisted immediately and told i need to pay a cancelation fee of R1500 the monthly installments for the remainder of the contract. I was transfered to cancelations and still have not been given a quote for cancelling the contract. I have 3 contracts with MTN Direct and i intend on cancelling them all and going to their opposition. The way i see it, MTN would prefer to loose a client rather than working towards a mutual agreement between them. If you refuse your client the oppertunity to speak to management is that a policy of MTN as well?
