Recently my phone decided to stop charging, being newish I reassured myself that this was not a problem as it was in good condition so it would still be under guarantee. I went to the repair centre to ask their opinions. After a week I had not heard from them so I called only to find out my phone was in JHB. I called JHB to find out what was going on and when will I receive it back fixed. They say sorry this "looks" likes water damage I need to pay R3700 to fix the phone. They say there is damage due to air- or steam - neither of which my phone has been exposed to for a long time. I told them I handed in my phone because the input for the charger is faulty. They say no my entire motherboard is fried and the phone doesn't work (It was working fine before I gave it to them). I immediately told them to send my phone back. After another week of not hearing anything I call to find out where my cell phone is. "Oh its back at canal walk". I go get my phone, turn it on and it comes on. So their story about the mother board being fried was nonsense. All that is wrong is that it wont charge so the battery is now dead. Im now paying a contract for a phone I don't even have...
