After having a Top-up 135 contract with Vodacom for 4 years, they unilaterally decided to cancel the mutually agreed discount. After waiting 15 minutes for a customer services attendant to answer my complaint, I was informed that the contract is still valid until end of May 2013 but due to selecting the option of an earlier renewal 24 months ago, the discount lapsed by end of Mar 2013.
Bottom line:
1. I will not take out any Vodacom contract again and recommend everyone to consider alternative service providers.
2. Poor customer relationship will eventually erode and undermine any business
3. I wonder why Vodacom charges up to R2.35/min and Cell C charges R0.99/min for the same period.
