No more unlimited BIS for MTN Blackberry users

MTN have begun informing their Blackberry subscribers that they will no longer be offering unlimited data on their blackberries.

The BIS offered from MTN will now be capped at 200MB and will be called BlackBerry Absolute. Effective as from 1 March 2013.

The SMS sent from MTN reads as follows, Yello, to ensure a world class internet experience for all MTN customers, the BlackBerry BIS package on the MTN network will be capped at 200MB & will be offered as a new plan called BlackBerry Absolute as of the 01/03/2013.

I think this is ridiculous and again the consumer is being abused unfairly. The only reason I bought this phone was for the unlimited internet benefit but will definitely be cancelling my contract with MTN!
