On Thursday I decided to take out a new contract at Cell C. I phoned customer care, the guy was friendly and assisted me, but told me that I'll have to wait 5 to 10 working days for the iPhone 5. First thing - how can there still be a shortage of this device at service providers?? So, I told him I'm going overseas this coming weekend, so I'll just have to wait till I come back end of April. So I decided to visit the Welkom branch. The lady tells me they have one in stock and I just have to bring my documents in on Saturday (today) then we can sign the contract.
I got everything ready and was very excited to pick up my new phone. When I got there someone else was already signing for that exact phone and I was left dry - DON'T tell me you are reserving an item for me, your prospective client and indeed to my face. That deserves no respect and gives the service provider a bad name. Are you going to have a phone ready for me by Wednesday or should I take my business elsewhere???
