I went to Cell C Clearwater in order to sign a contract, and port my number, to Cell C for the current Galaxy Note 2 offer. I was informed no stock was available & they expected it in on Wednesday 23/01/12. I received a phone call Wednesday morning informing me the phone was in stock. When I arrived in the afternoon, I was told the phone had been given to another customer & they had requested stock from Northgate. Thursday afternoon, I sign the new contract & receive the device. It is now the 28th of January & the contract line still has not been activated; the call centre identifies the number as a prepaid number & cannot tell me if the contract application was submitted.

Unfortunately, the store was robbed on Saturday morning & appears to be still closed as no-one is answering the phone.

To recap:
1) I was promised a device that was given to another client; I had to go the shop in order to be told this.
2) My contract is not active.

What is happening, Cell C?

Additionally, there are several complaints about the service from Clearwater; what is being done to rectify this?
