MTN DATA RIP OFF

MTN steals your airtime. I bought 2GB airtime on January 26. On March 25 I had 800 MB of data left. I knew that I had to recharge in order to keep my data. However, when I went into the MTN Rosebank store they told me they had no data to sell but I needed more airtime so I bought 180 airtime. On March 26 I didn't get a message telling me to recharge so I thought all was good. On March 27 at night I checked my usage I had 0 mb of data and 15 rand of airtime. In the two months that I've been in South Africa I've used only 170 rand of airtime and 1.2 GB of data. I go to the Rosebank store they put me on hold with "customer service" for 45 min and they tell me there is nothing that they can do since my airtime expired. So basically MTN around 225 rand from me. I will be switching to Vodacom.
